I had this one made for me by my buddies wife. It is fleece with a short brim and it doesn't interfere with the string. It even folds up small enough to fit in my pocket.

Some nice looking head gear fellas.
Felix, on my blurred screen you could pass for
 Norm Blaker.
Andy, Can you show a better close up of that hat?
Sherpa, A nice wool watch cap has been on my head since the mid 80's when I had one gifted to me by Uncle Sam. My brother had one that our real uncle had given him when we was just younguns. I always wanted that hat so I joined they USN and got one for FREE. I had a cool Voyager hat when I was small, had a cool tail about 3' long that could be a scarf.
Other than that MUDD, I'm still looking myself. Thanks for the post, I hope to see something that suits me. But I do dig that RH hat you now sport.

Here is what I wear in most days unless it's freezing!

My early MI gun doe season orange requirement hat (bow hunting only):

All time lucky hat!  I've killed every deer wearing this hat (I have it with me at all times).  My mom bought it for me when I was 12 for my first hunting season many years ago.

This is my fishin' hat, nothing fancy but it keeps the sun out of my eyes and my neck from getting too burnt.

It's funny how many photos I have with animals wearing that hat!  I do have it with me at all times for luck.  I think it's only been washed three times.

I always wear boonie hats.
The woodland one is the one that I've hunted the most in.
Most of the time I have a bandana on under it. Wet it down when it's hot or throw a thin stocking hat on under it when its cold.

Tough to beat a Stormy Kromer, I have several.
Short brim, wool, ear flaps when needed.
For warm weather I wear a Univ. of Michigan camo baseball cap(I fear it's brought them bad luck though, the last two years).
I like Filson oil cloth crushers when it rains.

I have had this old cowboy hat since I was twelve.  The band was stuffed with newspaper to make it fit when I got it as a Christmas present from my grandmother in 1982.  The band is long since gone and it is stretched to fit my head just right.  If I am in camp it is on my head.  The short-brimmed hat that my son, Reed is wearing is my favorite archery hat now.  Big Jim sells them for $8.  They come in brown, green or orange camo and have a wire lined brim that can be shaped or turned up.  Great hats!

Better picture of Reed's hat.

Here you go Chuck, its a bush hat, snap-up on each side or wear down...comes with optional rear-veiw mirror for stop lions sneaking up on you.

Feliciano, the Red hartebeest i shot at 15 meters over in Namibia, first one iv shot with a bow, was a good feeling perfect shot. The Elephant was further north up in Namibia where there are still good numbers roaming around, went in to take some photo's and watch him, very cool animal to get close to on the ground.
