Mr.Vic

I just got word today that a my long time brother and friend of many of you on here, that Jeff Dorris, member 10334 passed away on this past Tuesday. He died of Heart Failure while fighting Double Pneumonia in the hospital. Jeff had a very hard life these past three years and i know this affected some dealings with a few of you on here. He told me three weeks ago his short comings on these deals was eating at him and he felt helpless. I posted here on Pow wow because i need no prayers for me, send to family and his little dogs. Just think about this, anyday, anytime our number could be drawn in lifes lottery. So live life!  Jeff stepped over into another world with Bow in Hand. Here's a picture of my brother.

He's in the Happy Hunting Grounds now. We are all traveling on the level of time to an undiscovered country from which no traveler returns, and I am grateful for the companionship, camaraderie and fellowship along the way. Prayers, though not requested, are nonetheless on their way for Jeff's family. His soul is in God's hands now.

WHOAA!!!  Jeff Dorris sold me my first trad bow on another sight, and was the person who turned me on to TradGang. He sold me a 45# @ 28 Bear Grizzly.  I owe thanks to this man for giving me a good deal on  a bow That started my trad Journey.  Prayers for his family.  Joe

Very sad news.  I've had several trades and considered him a friend, never had a problem. A couple of years ago he made me an awesome copper-head skinned knife that I will always highly esteem, same as the man.

Prayers for his family and may our gracious God grant him a new home!

Jeff Dorris......A great Trader and friend. I was lucky enough to trade with him and meet him. Shot some bows with him and did some nice deals with him. He was a very accomplished craftsman. I have some of his knives and leatherwork. He will be missed. I shed some tears today and I will shoot an arrow into the woods for him on Sunday. "Goodbye Jeff", your buddy.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Have dealt with Jeff a few times. Very easy to work with and a good honest man. Had hoped to meet him this year while in Kentucky..... he will surely be missed.

Wow Vic, Seems like just yesterday I was talikin' to him on the phone, 'till about midnight. Never got to meet him but he seemed like a real nice guy over the phone. We had plans to hook up and see you once upon a time. Our schedules never did meet. From here in the Happy Hunting Grounds, I hope he is he headed to the eternal Hunting Grounds, with bow in hand. God Bless Jeff.

Terry,

I believe that Jeff was only 38 years old.  The good really do die young!
