This is one of the most heart warming stories I have ever heard. For him to open up to you in detail and you follow up on it and share your story and pics with trad gang. I could only hope to be this blessed. Once again thank you for sharing

Don't know where I've been that I missed this one till now; but, this is exactly the reason that I'm part of this site.  Wow, you have been blessed Pete!  You are a very lucky man and you have a great talent in words.  Thanks for taking us along and I only hope that you got to meet Joe again and let him in on this one.  Maybe even before the rest of us here.  I think that would be an honor I would like to pursue if I was given a gift like this.  Well Done my Friend, Well Done!  OBTW, still anxiously awaiting "the rest of the story".

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
