the other day i stopped in to see ron --and he's chompin at the bit!!so he shows me his new KME brand stones--well we get to testing--and ron produces this beat up 2-blade broadhead--dull as a stump![i'm not sure where he gets them!!maybe Bentpole knows!!HAHA!!]and in less than a minute has it shaving!!and this was the coarse stone!!with the broadhead sharpener and a coarse stone--well needless to say i got me a coarse and a medium--these stones are wicked flat and oil filled---just the ticket for 3-blades too!!---give ron a call!!

I just got my knife sharpener and lost sleep for two nights sharpening EVERYTHING in the house! Even the butter knives have shaving edges (no, not the butter knives)!!

I did learn, the VERY hard way, not to sharpen stuff whilst standing over a hard surface (like my concrete garage floor). I dropped the coarse stone and it shattered!    :(

I didn't even have it a week and was just about to sharpen the lawn mower blade...    :banghead:

So sad.

mikey , not my old broadheads.    :scared:     These new stones put a sharper edge on broadheads and knives!!??        I gotta see this.    :saywhat:    We'll have to get together have some breakfast and do some walkin' /scoutin' up there soon.

Cool...Ron has a neat little shop...now if we can only get him out of the shop and into the woods more often....   :saywhat:

We need to keep Stiffrod away and things will start looking brighter...KME is definately the real deal and those "sharpening Challenged" should seriously consider this product.

Think I will give these a try. Question for the KME guys, Will the course and medium/fine stones be enough for broadheads or should you go on to a Arkansas stone and if so which one? Thanks.

Juan

Are they the "Super-Tuff" Ceramic Stones?

Jake

Katman the two stones are all you need to get them sharp.  You can use a fine hard Arkansas to get a more polished edge.  Personal preference.  That is what is in the BH Deluxe Kit.
Juan...yes.  Those are the new stones.

Are these stones available for the knife sharpener as well? That is what I use on my Abowyer Brown Bears.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Jake

Fred,  We are having some made now that will fit the stone carrier 1"x4".  Not sure when they will be available.  The Gang will be the first to know.

Jake, is that the Aluminum-oxide stone on your site that we are talking about?
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Jake

Snag,  Yes that is correct.  6x2 Bench stones coarse and med/fine.
