Just ordered a new Dura Glove from 3 Rivers. Read the write ups on here and pretty much got the jist that its a good glove.

My question is, does the glove work well on heavier poundage bow?... I shoot a 52# now but ordered a 67# LB. Will the dura glove be thick enough to handle long term shooting?

Does anyone shoot the Dura Glove with heavier bows?

I have a recurve that is 65# and the Dura glove is durable enough to handle it.  I would like it to be a little thicker to give me a little more padding. If I would shoot more my fingers would be tough enough and I wouldn't care.   ;)   I think you'll like it and it will work well for you.

I shoot close to 60# and the tips are to thin for my fingers. Great glove, slickest release from a glove I've ever gotten but just to thin in the finger tips for me.

The Dura-Glove works fine for as many arrows shots as I can typically shoot from a 65# bow. I can shoot a couple hundred shots or more from a 55# bow in a day, but can only shoot about 75 to 100 arrows from a 65# bow before I start wearing out. The same thing goes for my fingers when shooting a Dura-Glove. It is fine unless I overdo the number of shots I take. If you want something that protects better, a cordovan fingered Super-Glove or a Big-Shot Glove will work well, but they don't have the feel or release I like with the Dura-Glove or its kissing cousin the Grizzly Wolverine Super Slick glove. I also like cordovan tabs like the ones made by Bates, but since I shoot split fingered the inside edges of my fingers that sit against the nock can get sore after a lot of shooting. That's where the gloves excel in protecting my fingers.

Did you guys find that the Dura glove ran a bit smaller than other gloves?

WVeer

I believe it's about the same...I ordered a large but wish I had the medium.   I like my glove snug and the glove may ahve stretched a little.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday.  I liked it so much I ordered another one to have on-hand.  The quality and fit for me was perfect.

You made a good choice.  I bought a second one for a spare just in case I lost the other.  I have no other go to glove.

dave19113

do the gloves run true to size though..?

They have for me Dave, I buy size large gloves all the time, the Duraglove fits me the same. It's now my go-to as well.

They seem to fit size for size as other gloves I have.

I shoot the medium best, but ordered a large last fall to fit a thin poly glove for warmth inside the Duraglove.

Much to my suprise.  The glove upper was a little longer and wider, the fingers were wider, but the fingers were no longer than my medium.  So a light glove made the fingers a little too short for comfort.  Plus, the nylon covers on the glove were actually slightly shorter than the medium.  On a deep hook the string has a tendency to come up past the nylon.

I love my Dura Glove so much I bought three. One in the house, one in the truck, and one the arrow box in the truck, and one in my back quiver. All my deer skins and leather ones are collecting dust.

I shoot heavy bows, the gloves are great.
