Never shot a KS.

I have 2 Schafers and they are excellent.

I have ALWAYS wanted a BW.  I mean since I was 10 years old.  LOVE the way they look.  With that said, every time I shoot one, it feels like I have a 1 x 4 board sticking me between my thumb and first finger in the meat of the grip.  Can't stand it.  Maybe the "Asbell" grip would feel better?  Someday I may give it a try.

I've owned the Silvertip and a couple of PSA Widows.  It would be hard for me to choose betwen the two.  Wish I had one of each.  Never shot a KS.  I'm a fan of shorter bows so I'd probably want to try the PCH were I in your shoes ... but as has been mentioned, my impressions mean nothing.  Both the Widow and Tip are fine bows and expertly built (as is the KS I'm sure) so it would be hard to go wrong.  The question is: which is right-est?  If I was to spend that kind of $$$, I'd do the try before you buy program.
Do or do not ... there is no "try"

I have owned 6 widows, and 2 ST's in looking for the perfect bow for me... Never shot or handled a KS.... all of the widows and ST's are gone.  I found I prefered Bows from a different bowyer.. Don't be in a big hurry.. try a few and then it's you who will decide and have to be happy with your decision.. suggestions are only that.. you must be the final say, as it's a lot of $ your investing.

Every bow fills different to everybody but they are all good bows not ever having the pleasure of shooting the other ones but I have shot a Blackwidow and I shoot one so my vote would be for a blackwidow and my vote would be for a psax or a pchx and the wait is not that long. Service is second to none and they are a work of art just like some  of the bows that take a year to get. You could be shooting it for a year by the time you get some other bows think of all the fun and animals to could shoot in that time. Just a thought.  Widow

I have 3 Tips with 1 more on the way. I also have 2 Widows, they are both great. I go back and forth. I have others but I only shoot those.

cacciatore

I think all 3 are good shooters,as most bows around, sometimes it is the time and efforts you spend on a bow that make that the perfect bow for you.I get 90 plus bows made by 14 different makers and I can't say there is one that doesn't fit me if i find the time to know it.Some feel better but it is just time to have the others as good as your prefered one.

Black Widow in my opinion, all are nice, never shot a silvertip. Shot a KS, very nice.

I have owned widows and silvertips, between those 2 the Schafer wins hands down.

Let me preface my response... I'm a longbow shooter... but I've owned all three of these recurves.  Actually shot Widow SA's BL (Before Longbows  ;)  ) exclusively for a few years.

All that being said, of those three recurves, I'd take the Kwyk Styk first.  Best performer, and the quietest.  Then I'd take the Silvertip, comparable performance to the Widow, but it's quieter.  Then the Widow would come in... I thought they were quiet when I shot them, but then I really figured out what quiet was with my longbows.

Don't get me wrong, all three are definately in the cream of the crop as far as recurves go, but you asked us to catagorize them, so those would be my choices if there were no such thing as a longbow.  ;)

I own a Silvertip-60" takedown, 52# at 28". The bow pulls super smooth and one of the nicest bows I have ever shot. So much so, that ordered another one two weeks after I received my first one. I have shot BW and they too are very nice.

I have to say the grip and the checkering on the Silvertip is outstanding.

I have a KS on order, which I should have in my possession in two weeks. Jack Kempf has been absolutely outstanding and truly is a gentleman.
I'm looking forward to shooting his bow.

I have both a Kwyk Styk and a Schafer... they are both excellent bows and honestly I have a hard time deciding which one to tote on any given day. I wouldn't trade or sell either one of them.

Silvertip - no experience with kwick stick? Between the three I'd get a Stip but you wont go wrong with any of the three.

Try them before you buy em

Owned all three, still have my Kwyk Styk and Schafers. With another Kwyk Styk coming in December.

Just ordered my first Widow about an hour ago. Taked to Vernon there and he walked me through it.  Super nice and helpful fellow.
