Turkey hunting is starting soon here in Iowa and although I love the toughness of hunting them without a blind I would like to hear what blinds you all feel could work best for you and our fellow trad hunters. For example I shoot a long bow which is 68 inches long and a good blind with alot of room is hard to find (price and size in mind) that it wont touch the ground and cealing but I also like taking my younger cousin with me and videotape hunts which then makes it big enough for two. So I guess I just need the almighty blind for trad. hunters. Thanks for your input!

That would be a question for someone and only someone that has used them all.

The dog house was really too small for me with a 60" Bear. The penthouse was adequate though. Have to admit I'm curious about a ghost blind. Might work...might be the worst.

You owe it to yourself to check out the Yukpn Enforcer...for the money...you will not find a better trad friendly blind.

I'd suggest the DB traditional, it's high with plenty of room. The hidden Hunter is 6' tall by 6' wide it's also a great blind. I have both and any one of the two would do the job. It all depends on which set up you like.

The doghouse?Unless you have a 32" longbow there's no way way that one will be big enough for you.It barely fit my wheel bow in it.Look at all of them in a catalog, pick the tallest one,go with that.I wouldn't use one less than 70" for a trad bow.

The double bull matrix recurve model is the only model i have any experience with.  It has plenty of room for a 64 inch longbow.  Keep in mind also that if you hunt where it's ok to do this, dig the floor out some if you need more room with any of the models.   :)

I've been looking at buying a Primos Ground Max Vision. It measures 77x77x70and is alot like the DB. I think Primos bought double bull but I;m not sure.
I'm getting one in predator deception.
After all the research I've done on blinds it looks like it would be the best IMO anyway. The yukon looked good to I just don't like the windows.

I definetly second the ghillie suit, I'm building one of those to.

Primos did buy Doublebull!
Doublebull blinds are the BEST. Besides where else are you going to get a hunting DVD, that will make you LYAO.

Any body use the hidden hunter blinds? How are they?

Bmac

I have a couple of the Primos Ground Max blinds and they work great.  They have held up to some pretty strong winds and heavy snow.

Just got a Double Bull Dark Horse recurve.  Holy wah is that thing big.  It is easily tall enough for any bow I shoot.  I am wondering if it may be TOO big and stand out.  That new camo pattern is pretty decent too, really breaks it up.

I will use it once the snow melts.  I have been practicing opening it up in the living room and although the wife is not thrilled, the young daughter of my son's friend loves it as a play house.

I think it may have been worth the extra cost factor.  It is well designed, well built and from what I have been hearing from others, is backed up by a good company.

Yukon enforcer, primos grond max and ameristep penthouse have all worked for me. Enforcer and ground max hold up too the wind better because of the hub design.

I use a brickhouse and put a pine cone or something under each corner when I set it up. Adds a few more inches.RC
