Instead of using a shorter bow... try a ground blind that is good for trad bows.  I'm using Yukon Enforcer blinds that are resonably priced and tall enough for 60in PSA and 62in PL.  A $200 blind and a bow you know you shoot well is smarter money than a new mystery bow.

Maybe so but I sure like my new "mystery" bow. My 54" Addiction Recurve is a sweet shooter and I'm hoping to "mysteriously" whack a bird from my pop up blind this spring.

I have a Cascade Golden Hawk 52" that I draw to 29" -this is near the upper limit for this model I think- Due to  the mass of the riser, it's quite stable.

I draw 29" and my prefered bowsm are 58-60,but I shoot recurve as short as 50" with out any problem. If you want to try a short bow and you don't have any buddy let you try one,buy a Bear Kodiak Magnum you'll find it for cheap and it is a really good bow, also other makers made such kind of bows, but Bear is really easy to resell with out loosing a single penny.
