Steves bows are usually braced lower than some others. I think around 6.5" is about average on brace height.

Hatrick

James is right, he does brace a little lower than most. I understand that Steve is back making bows. This link will take you to his new site and answer most questions.

I was the origianl poster in the linked thread. Since then I found another thread on another forum with the same question. Steve Abbott actually replied with the answer. 6 3/8".

friend of mine just bought a bow at a show in Reno. Just getting started and called me to ask if I ever heard of them. So I was wondering about brace and also he is a lefty and when he says he draws his pull takes the arrow away from the bow??? Is this because of the twist in the string??? If so I could maybe twist him a lefty. I have never heard of left or right strings? Thanks

Orion

Wahoo:  If he's pulling the arrow away from the rest, it's not because of the string, but because he's curling his fingers in (kind of like clenching) as he draws rather than keeping them static or even letting them relax a little bit as he draws.  Very common among new finger shooters.

No such thing as a right or left string. He is probably pinching the nock with his fingers causing the arrow to move off the shelf.
