Been looking at some new camo and I keep coming back to the idea of these leafy suits.  I know some of you have the ASAT Leafy stuff and would you share the pros and cons.

One specific question I have is how quiet are they?

Thanks Sam

The suits are very quiet. You need to make some adjustments for the leafy sleeves for string clearance, but the suits are very effective. I just wish that the suits were sold in separate pieces as for the legs run real long in the size I needed for the coat to fit.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

It is a great suit but I sometimes just go in the woods without it on out of I'm running late and laziness I guess.

When I do wear it the deer never know I'm there I love it.

They are quiet after a wash or two and a lil beatin on em.

I don't have any problems with string clearance but I shoot with a lil more open of a stance.

Good suit all in all

It's awesome and the more you wash it the quieter it gets.  Great outfit to have in your pack!

I would shy away from leaf/ghillie suits, as that's the kind of thing Mr. Murphy purely loves to find when a guy is out hunting...

I love mine. no cons to it as far as i'm concerned.
I shot two deer while wearing mine this past year, and neither of them were alerted even when they looked thru me.
just trim the leaves off of your bow arm sleeve for string clearance.

Do you want to vanish. Then get one. I have seen them work many time.

Same as above, very quiet and you disappear nicely.

I havent hunted traditional with it yet but used it Oct-Nov here in MI and saw more deer than ever before.
As many have posted wash and dry it a few times before wearing its gets quieter the more washed.
Also I trimmed the sleeve and cheek area to ensure clearance.
If you call directly you can get different tops and bottoms.  I have a wierd long torso short legs comparatively so I took a large top and medium bottoms and directly from ASAT they took care of me.

They have good customer service on a separate purchase I bought some additional material to sew in my ambush saddle and found it was uv hot (the suit was not) they fully refunded my money and didnt ask for the material back.

Thinking of getting the winter suit as well for Dec. up here.
More bows than I should have!

Aside from being the mose effctive camo on the market, a few other things about it make it a good iinvestment. It is lightweight, and you can use it in any season. It easily slips over whatever you are wearing, from shorts and a T-shirt to the heavier late season clothes. I find I do not have to have several sets of hunting clothes in camp, and they dont necessarily have to be my camo clothes.

It does not radily absorb water from rain etc.

Best buy I've made in years.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

I LOVE that suit!! The only con would be not getting one.    :readit:

You can about smoosh the whole suit into the size of a boot sock. I saw their hunter orange version and am excited to see it come out.
Just one more step please!

I also have had great experiences with mine. The sleaves were fine for me too.

Mine is great and I don't have to trim anything on the sleeve if I just wear an arm guard. What the others who own them have said about how good they are is all accurate.

I've been using it for about 18 years, I've never had a problem.  Works great on the ground.  In a tree with a little cover, unreal. I wear a full length arm guard to cover my bicep and my forearm.  Very light weight.

Only camo I've ever worn where birds land on my shoulders.

I've had a ASAT leafy suit for twenty years. It's never let me down. I've had Coyotes walk with in ten yards. I think the break up of your pattern is the key.

Big Sneaky

I really like mine.  Pretty handy to just be able to pull it over the clothes your wearing and go hunt.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

Now they have a snow leafy suit for all you winter hunters!
