Couldn't agree more!!  The only problem I see is wanting another one after I get my hands on the first one.  Then I'll have to wait 6 months instead of 3.

Bryan, shame on you. Now you try to justify your own poor judgement by recommending others make the same mistake.

I stopped by Brian's booth figuring another Iowegian might need some moral support. Fine young fellow with some fancy looking recurves. Picked one up just to be polite since I'm a longbow and mostly selfbow guy... dang that grip melted into my hand. Thin wide limbs with a working recurve... lovely aesthetics with the center strip of the riser reflecting the limb veneers... got out of there fast when a customer distracted him! Whew
I loved the grip as well. "melted into my hand" describes it perfectly.

If you were gonna cave, I think you made a solid decision to go with Brian.  Apparently he is going to be REAL busy for 2010 and the word is out!!

Burky, Burky, Burky...I just knew something was up when you had that glassy look to your eyes...
just wish I didn't have to leave before helping you get in touch with your "inner tightwad"!!!

Whip - you sat there and watched me slip right over the edge when you could've walked accross the aisle and performed an intervention??  I thought you were my friend...

KB - Please come to my rescue in Nashville when all of those great bows go up for auction!

Greg - A bowhunters gotta do what a bowhunters gotta do  :)

Diceman - I'm not sure I've ever been able to find my "inner tightwad"

Dillbilly - I think next Fall will be Tall Tines Rack Attack Time!!

Mr. Alaska,

I predict 2010 will prove to be a banner year for TallTines owners.  From Alaska to Texas and all points in between, there are going to be a lot of good critters laid to rest!

Speaking of the PBS Auction, it sounds like Mr. TallTaines is planning something  very special for that...

Steve O, how fast does Michigan Outdoors normally air their new stuff?  I'd like to see that!

Sometimes it is right away, sometimes, quite a while.  I don't watch much "outdoor" TV.  Most of it turns my stomach, but I will try to keep my eyes out for it.

mparks

I think MOOD had it on pretty quick last year.

I'm glad I live so far away from these events...those Tall Tines look so nice in pictures I know I would cave if one ever made it into my hands.

Kevin Bahr

Wouldn't it be cool for a "new guy" to win the Jerry Pierce Memorial Bowyer contest?

Chris, you're not that far from Nashville...I bet you could find a thread about the PBS banquet on Tradgang somewhere.

Steve O

He's not real keen on contests, recognition, and the like and has gone as far as to threaten me bodily if I post a link to the TV interview they did with him at Kzoo, but I have explained you have to be in the contest with the donation bow   ;)

Chris Surtees

Kevin,

I'll be there for the weekend...going to head up that way with Skyler and DW.

I shot the tall tines 62"-60+ lbs. at Kalamazoo and I thought it was probably the smoothest, hardest hitting bow I shot at the show. And I'm a Black Widow/Morrisson fan.

Brain advised that he is grinding my lams today and starting to put my Leftie together this week... I'm liking the idea of having a new family member in the house very soon!   :clapper:

He is to be sending me some pics of the bow in various stages of readiness, so I will try to post these as they are received for anyone wanting to see my choices.

I will have a combination that has not been built thus far by Brian, that he assures me that it is going to be a nice outfit.

Steve - If Brian doesn't like recognition then he's in big time trouble...comes with the territory of building beautiful bows.  My guess is that he'll get used to it   :)

I'll be checking out that Tall Tines PBS bow in Nashville and I'm counting on all Trad Gang members in attendance to keep me out of trouble!    :help:

If you`re gonna "crack", Kalamazoo Expo is a good place to do so.

It`s all good!!!
