This afternoon I tried to remove some wraps from some AD Shafts by boiling.  This was my first try, and it didn't work out to good.  :scared:    Trying to pull the hot wrap from a hot shaft is not fun.  I managed to get one removed and called it.  :banghead:

This is Pepper she was watching the whole thing.  And was thinking she might get a  snack out of the deal.  :D

Can you try a blowdryer?

Could try one at a time...

Tried one at a time.  These are One Stringer Arrow wraps with double dogs on them.  The double dog is a clear thinner wrap that protects the main wrap.  I am going to try a heat gun on a low setting.  I should have just left them alone, nothing was wrong with them.

Better living through chemistry, however health side-effects can be entertaining.  I've used MEK with good results.

I see someone else likes to work in the kitchen!   :)
Isn't that too much heat for the carbon? How much is too much? I have had a lot of frustration getting wraps off, too. Less work, in my mind, to work the hours needed at my job and buy new shafts!

I find I do better just to use a old blade and srape them off. I then use goo be gone from Walmart. Gets the rest of the glue off, I then use alohol for a final cleaning prior to new arrow wrap / fethers.
you should see how I use to shoot

Tried them all on my AD's. boiling, blowdryer, chemicals, etc. Only thing I've found to work for ME is a good sharp utility knife. Be Careful!!!  :scared:

i've given up on wraps, too dang much trouble getting them off the arrows without potential shaft damage.  but they sure do look spiffy ...

I use acetone to remove my wraps and wrap all my arrows. After the wrap is gone cleanup is easier than glued directly to shaft.

No wraps here....they only have to suit me anyway, and all I require is that they hit where I'm shooting.

I really like chartreuse wraps as they have helped me find my arrow many times, but man you are right, they are a major pita to take off!
