Wonderful pics of the lynx, beautiful photographs!
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

My wife doesn't hunt any more (scared of our bears).

You better keep this one.

Congrats for the pics and to have found the right gal.My wife has never shared anything with me if not when I was paying for some exotic seas vacations. So I quit going with her and started to buy bows.

Did you luck out?  Only time will tell.

With the painfully earned wisdom of a couple marriages under my belt, I would have said adios when she dismissed any thought of participation in something as deeply ingrained in me as archery.

My son married a gal who hates guns, bows, & hunting, all things he was brought up to love & which are a part of his soul.  He has tried to get her to participate, but she acts like bows & guns are rattle snakes.  A few years into the marriage now, she has gone from the "accept w/o participating" stage to the "I can change/fix him stage".

From experience I saw this coming and told him with complete candor not to marry her in the first place.  I figure he will hang in for another 5-10 years of spirit breaking hell before he gets out, and will take several years after that to repair his spirit and find himself again...

Sorry if this doesn't strike the tone you were looking for, but I've BTDT and have a very pragmatic view in regard to wedded bliss...

Who knows, maybe you will get lucky...

First, the good news. I just know that at some point she will want to hunt. Laura and I lived like you for about 10 years...shooting, hiking, camping, etc. She got to meet successful women bowhunters and here's what she decided to do...kill a bear....and look what happened.

Then she found a rub and scrape behind the house...asked me to put up a stand....and look what happened.

Now the "bad" news. I shot a turkey from my Double Bull blind this Fall. She gave it a try and missed two big toms at close range. The result, now she has a Double Bull blind. My hunting budget has doubled.

Oh! There is more good news....it's great! Hope it turns out that way for you.
