Best 3-D turkey target...

Just wondering what would be the best 3-D turkey target...a strutting or walking pose.

I've looked at the several different brands and really like the Rinehart target (walking)...but just can't decide.

I think the most ideal shot on a bird is when they're not strutting and facing away from you so that made me wonder.

I like standing better. I have hunted turkeys a long time and standing is the posture you will see more than strutting.

   I like to use the standing Rinehart because they are small and make you concentrate on making the shot vs the struting bird. I don't like shooting struting birds...too much air between those feathers. I practice sitting down as though I was in a blind and then usually practice shooting from the blind about two weeks in advance of the season.  Also if you are shooting from a blind you have to use a string tracker...great recovery. Good luck its fun.

I saw this Rinehart at Jay's Josh--it looks pretty cool in person!

I filled all my cheap ones with great stuff foam and they work great!

Steve...I really like the way that target looks and you can't beat Rinehart on arrow removal!

What was it going for?

I really don't want to miss again this spring on a bird and I'm going to get a 3-D target to help.

I want to say it was $329...they are STEEP!  They are the best though.  I'd just give them a call to be sure.

So how many did you buy for the club?

I use my old, cheap collapsable dekes in front of a block target.  You can pin it to the target or leave it free standing in front of the backstop.  I will use the same one I used last year.  A couple of holes, but no huge voids of missing foam.
