That is nice.  Thanks for sharing Bill.  But you have to answer Dave Mitchell's question.

What is up the one arrow?

Great footage and great hunt.

Bill, Todd gave me a heads up on this earlier so I had already watched it before I came on here. Good stuff. Eldon's looking old!

I too wonder about the one arrow. I also had trouble figuring out what they were talking about when the video seemed to have nothing to do with all the talking.

Its a two part video. You have to watch the 8 minute one first for it to make sense.

After watching the 8 minute video i can see why he was so relieved after he downed that second moose. He never gave up and made it happen, that was great.

OK, OK....why did Todd have only one arrow? He went on the trip, I believe with only 6 specially made heavy carbon arrows....700+ grains. He killed the moose on Friday, his fifth day of hunting. Before he shot the moose he did he had encounters with 65 bulls! Not all were shooting situations but he had a lot of action. In fact that morning he shot at a 60 incher and missed when it turned as he shot. I know he had at least one other miss. He had also shot and hit a moose the day before. He aimed low as  one would aim for a  heart  shot on a whitetail. In actuality it turned out to be a brisket shot...too low.  There is another video on Youtube with that days hunt and the lost trail the next day. He had action all week long and he may  have  had other arrows back at the B&B he was staying at but I really don't know. He described the hunt to me as the worst roller coaster ride he has ever had in a hunting situation but was more than pleased with the outcome.

Greg...yes, Eldon, along with the rest of us is starting to show his age.

By the way, Eldon Jandreau of Hunter's Point can get access to tags for nothern Maine moose. If anyone wants to get in touch with him you can PM me or email and I'll get you in touch. He's better than 90% success with trad bow hunters.

Next time he may want to take 8 arrows, instead of 6.      :saywhat:    "[dntthnk]"
