In 2015 I'll be 55 and hanging up the corporate gig for sure.

I do however plan on having the wife continue to work till she's 80.  I gotta pay for my toys ya know.

I want to serve the Lord by helping those whom I can, be a good father, husband and friend. Hunting is secondary to those things. I would like to build a selfbow and continue to improve my knapping. I would like to take my spring turkey with my longbow. I would love to find a way to hunt elk or mule deer this year.

2. Practice more, much more.
3. Attend a local 3-D shoot to connect with local trad guys.

split arrow

Shot my first trad turkey and buck.

Hunt a lot more as I did not get to hunt as much as I would have liked this year.

And try to get someone new into trad archery. I did it this year and its a goal for next year.

mine is to be missouri asa trad state champion again, I would liek to hold the title for at least three years in a row that is a long term goal for me
every mourn brought forth a noble chance, and every chance brought forth a noble knight-wiston churchhill

Apex Predator

I'd like to get back in shape and stay there!  I'd also like to kill 7 hogs and three deer with my self-made longbows.  I'd like another chance at "hogzilla" this year, if he is still around.  :)
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

I have a few archery/hunting related goals for the year:

1. Become proficient with my longbow to the point I can hunt with it next season
2. Following number one, take a hunting trip of some sort out of state and be able to kill something with my longbow
3. Try to get my wife into shooting. She likes being outdoors, just not the hunting part. I would love to get her into archery, if nothing but shooting a few targets in the yard.
4. Try to give back to the sport in some way, namely introducing at least one new person to the outdoors and helping them grasp the basics of the sport we all enjoy.

Gray Buffalo

This year will be the start of my grandsons hunting with out Gram pa or dad sitting with him. My goal is to teach and help to get his first deer.
I try not to let my mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

Kill a deer or turkey with selfbow and bone point. I was close this year had a six yard shot and biffed it!  :knothead:    :knothead:
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.
