I am thinking of switching form a 14 strand D97 string to a 8 strand D97 string. I have a BW PMA that is 60" and 48# I just got some surewood shafts shooting good out of the bow. Will the arrows still shoot good or will the 8 strand string change every thing.

thanks

Didn't change mine when I went from 14 to 10 strand. Alot quieter though.

Short answer, maybe.  The only way to know for sure is try it and see.  If your arrows show weak, you might fix it by building out the strike plate a bit or using a lighter point.

I dropped from 12 D-97 strand to 6, then back to 8, yes it required some re-tuning for me anyway.

The shooting qualities improved enough it was definitely worth it.

Arrow will probably need a little tuning

Like said above...might change a little, but can be fixed like Chad said....give it try and let us know how you make out...
