I just ordered another one today. I already have a 70" 63#@29" Wesley. Just ordered a 66" Big Five 52#-53#@28", Cocobolo handle and tips, clear glass, laced black elk handle wrap. I wanted to shorten up a bit for manuevering in thicker woods and come down in weight a bit for accuracy sake.  Now I have to sell some other ones to make room!

Tip,

That gray glass looks pretty cool. Ebony riser and tips?

Ken I ordered another "Big Five" the first week in November.  Craig told me it was a 3-5 week build.  I think he takes some time off during the holidays.  I'm at the point where I set in my living room and stare out the window waiting for a UPS truck.  Thats bad.  You ever notice that UPS trucks have their own distinctive sound.  I love the lightness and the quietness of the Hill bows.

I dropped way down in weight on this bow.  It will be 66",40# @ 28, black glass front and back, Arican black wood riser, finished handle with high gloss hand rubbed finish.  Its going to be my "back yard plinking" bow.

URRRGH, well....... maybe tomorrow.

I just love the simple classy looks of Hill style bows, and this is one of the best threads I've seen.  Just brining it back up to see if anyone has any more beauties to add.

Lee Robinson .

Here is a picture I took in 1997 of Gary Sentman with his world record bow (176#@28 1/4") that he pulled back in 1975. I don't know if the bow was made in 1975 or if it was made before then, but it was a HH bow, for back then he was sponsored by HH Archery and Company. (Oh, he and John Shultz both put on a shoot in 1975...and although Gary didn't shoot the 176#er, he did shoot a 150#er on stage.

Until next time...good shooting,
Lee
