My first was a John Schulz Trophy hunter, after that a bighorn by Maulding that busted, next a Louie Armbruster Grevy that also busted, got a second still usable but I sold it. MY favorite one was made by Denny Beck from Iowa it was 74# and shot consistently 204 -208 fps. Denny said He didn't know what he did different with that one but it really was fast! It broke and he made me another 10 lbs lighter which I still have. I shot ASL from 1980-92 exclusively.

Big River by John McDonald, Thunder stick MOAB by Jim Reynolds, Moosejaw Razorback by Gary Sentman.  Glad that God has allowed me to remain healthy enough to shot 65#+ bows.

I've had a few Hill bows but my favorite was a Wesley Special.

If I had it today it wouldn't do me any good.  It was a lot more weight than I can handle now.

My two early favourites I shoot regularly, are my 82# Louie Armbruster Grevy, and my 62# Sentman.  Both are fantastic. If I could find a 70# Armbuster Zebra Grevy or Super Grevy, Life would be good!

I'm not sure if the 1990's qualify, but in my opinion, that's when the best longbows were made.  Schulz, Green Mountain, Saxon, Elburg, Harrison, San Marco... the list goes on.  :campfire:

I think the Trophy Hunter would be about the bees knees because I am kind of partial to the backset laminated Hill Styles that are thin and deep.
