Michael,I`ve got the final overlay pics to send you and Deer burr pics to send.I`ve sealed it and will start spraying now .I will send a few pics of that.Once that`s all done its just the leather and set up.

great bowyer!  the first really nice bow I ever owned was one of Tim's 1 piece tree stick longbows...a most excellent bow!

Ok...just a few more posts before i get my bow.

Let's see where we left off...how about some limb base overlays and horn limb bolts.

Here is Tim turning a antler into a limb bolt.  Notice a few tricks he uses...adding extra surface area on the bolt head to adhere better to the expoxy and the little holes he dremels into the inside of the hole to keep the bolt head from spinning loose.










Almost done with the antler limb bolts...see the next set.

One more close up of the holes he drills inside the horn bolt to make sure it doesn't come lose.





into the jig to hold everything nice and straight while the expoxy hardens.

I get the bow on Wed!!!  I spoke with Tim today he was putting on the finish...he said the cocobolo really jumps out at this stage in the game.  can't wait to see it.  should have some more pics tomorrow of the finish going on and than leather grip installation and final bow setup.  

Can't wait to get my hands on it and sling an arrow or 2 hundred thousand....LOL.

Man,I`ll trade you Michael for your riser.To me,it`s one of the most beautiful risers that I`ve ever put together.The Cocobolo has some amazing figure and when spayed just really jumped out.I`ll send some sprayed pics today !!
