This morning was a cool 38 degrees with about a 15 mph wind. I decided to sit in my stand at the base of a hill near a break in a stone wall that the deer like to travel through. About 7:45am I see 4 doe come through another break in a wall about 100 to my right. They are down wind of me but have no clue I'm there. They head toward a swmpy area behind me but hold up because there were some dogs barking coming from a house about 300 yards away ( I live in Suburbia). They get a little skiddish and start running back and forth from the swamp to the break in the wall. Finally 3 of them go back through the break whence they came and the 4th doe starts walking the base of the hill in my direction. She gets about 10 yards from the base of my tree when the Kajika spoke. Ironically after the shot she ran off about 50 yards and died at the base of another stand I had set up for a different wind direction.
