I'm guessing the hands in the pic holding the arrow are longbowben's-----he's left-handed and we lefty's usually wear our watches on our right wrist..........doesn't make him the shooter though......

I'm still saying it's leatherneck.

Perhaps it's a road kill which happened to have an arrow in it.

Leatherneck is trying to come up with a legit story which would obviously explain what's taking so long.

Great suspense!!! I the little guy in front of forestcreature struck 1st blood.  The watch on the hand is from dad teaching how to field dress a deer.

Ok I give up more please. Great thread!  :clapper:

Interesting.  Different watch for Mike than in the first picture, but same arrows?

No watch for Rob or Mike P.

longbowben shoots snuffers and I can't see his right wrist.  If I could just see a little more of the left hand for the wedding ring.  Going with Ben on this one.

Does anyone know if blood stains clothes or snuffers  :bigsmyl:

OK. Mommas fed, the dogs got to go out and pee, and the kids are in bed. Now where were we?  :saywhat:

Oh something happened today. Ok, here goes:
We have this stand in a pine thicket a couple hundred yards from a corn field. This past summer we added another one acrossed from the original one so we could hunt the site in a south east wind. Well this morning we had a se wind. Myself and ben talked last night about the rain storm coming in and decided that we should have good deer movement before the storm. Now I had to work midnight last night and at 0530 I rushed to get to the farm. Ben met me at the cabin and after spraying down real good and changing we were off to our stands......I was headed to the new one in the pines.  ;)

I see some of you payed close attention to detail on the previous pics. But KentuckyTJ payed the closest. "Patience grasshopper, patience".

So I climb into my pine tree and was doing everything I could to stay awake. Sitting in the dark without a sound after working midnight is quite peaceful. Something broke the peacefullness and it wasn't a deer. A skunk let me know he was in the area.  :scared:

Now wide awake and light slowly coming on I hear a limb brake from the direction of the corn. Still fighting to see anything I finally catch a glimpse of a deer about 20 yards away. Then another popped into view. As they walked by I could tell it was 2 does going to bed. Now it finally hit 0700 and I'm starting to see a touch better. Thank god cause here comes another deer. As the deer gets closer I notice a rack. As he gets to 10 yards i can see he's a decent buck but not really what I wanted. He then looks back over his shoulder.......

Coming behind him was another deer. As he got closer I could see he had a rack as well. But his was much bigger. He closed the distance fast until he was about 12 yards in front of me. (now in front of me slightly to my right is a big pine. I have a shooting lane to the right of it) I could see he had a really good rack but I could not make out the number of tines. As I struggled to look this buck over he left my front lane and headed to my shooting lane just right of the pine. I had to decide real quick if he was a buck to end my season. You see here in Ohio we get only one buck a year. So to tag out 6 days into the season is a tough decision to make.
