Dick, Your Fed-x delivery arrived yesterday. It's in the trailer already. CK

likewise...   I already have a web page going on all my prep... I'm kind of a fanatic about documenting all my little adventures and this one will be no different.

Been watching the weather down in Crane.  They've been going back and forth about whether there will be showers or not.  Last night they were saying "yes", this morning they're saying sunny.  Let's hope they stick with that.

Awwww Dick, didn't you know that the Weather Forcasters have to learn to change their mind every five minutes while they are still in forcasting school. That way they can always say they were right at some time during the day.

Seriously, the weather can change drastically very quickly in West Texas. As the saying goes "wait five minutes or drive five miles and the weather will change". We are in that time of year when serious weather is always a possibility. I carry a disposable Wal Mart poncho in my pack. If it rains I can put it over me and my gear till the weather clears. I'll be out of touch with TV and most radio once on the ranch so it would be beneficial for us all if you'd check the 7 day forcast on the day you depart. I'll arrive on the ranch Saturday evening. I should have everyone a scouted place to start wacking critters by the time you all get there.     CK

Freakin awsome! Rain or not it'll be fun. Any guitar players in the group? Thinking about bringing my Martin for a little after hours fun.

just track checked my two pkgs and see that they have been delivered and signed for by that C. Keller guy, so I guess I can sleep tonight  8^)

kind of a bummer day here...  I was supposed to go off for a 3D for the weekend, but our winter weather hit with a vengeance... absolutely miserable out there.  I'm not even going out in the back yard to practice.   I don't figure getting wet, chilled, sick is a smart move at this point.   Spent the morning sewing a new sleeping bag liner on a 1926 Singer industrial treadle i picked up last month and finally got restored to my satisfaction.  That and a pipe and coffee look like the high points of my day.

Yea Dick, I signed for that package a few days ago. I'm pretty sure I posted it on this thread a few days ago.

I'm packed so full that the truck bumper's dragging the ground. I've only got about another 1000 pounds of gear to put on top and I'll be ready to pull out in the morning.  :readit:    :knothead:

Here's a short tape from a javelina Curtis guided me to. His lyrical genius shines through.
You'll find he can finish any song that starts, "there once was a man from Nantucket".

It's great stuff. Is very much like pork even though a Javi isn't a pig.

Ask anyone who'd had Curtis' Javi salad and you'll hear rave reviews.
