Hey all,

I am going to be fletching my arrows sometime this week.  This will be the first time I have done this in about 10 years so I am a bit foggy on all the needed prep work.  My arrows are carbon and I will be fletching with FEATHERS.  I am also going to try that Delta-Bi-Vane from 3 Rivers on a couple of shafts.  Before I start I need to get some information.

1.  After I remove the fletch thats on their now, what would be good to use as a shaft cleaner to remove all the gunk left behind?  Would fingernail polish remover work?

2.  What glues do you use for inserts?

3.  What glue do you use for fletching?  I would like to have something that will work with carbon and aluminum on both Feathers and vanes.  Would the Fletch Tite Platinum be a good choice?

Sory for the NOO-B questions, I just need a few pointers before I go out and buy the stuff and start fletching.

Thank you for the time and help.

Well, a little fingernail polish remover works pretty good, I have been using Duco cement for the fletching with good results, also works for the inserts. Hot melt(the amber colored)also works really well for inserts------but I'm far from being an expert.
