best lighted nock for trad bows?

what lighted nock have you had the best luck with?  i tried the lumenocks last year with not so good results.  i possibly may have gotten the wrong ones for my goldtips.  i was at bps today talking with mr. joel and he likes the tracer nocks--but i really dont like the magnet part.  
i am planning on shooting 35/55 or either 55/75 gts in camo in the 35/55 or wood grain in the 55/75.  what kind of lighted nock will work the best for me out of a recurve or longbow?

You may just have to try a few out...some of them only work if your bow produces enough energy to make them light. A frined of mine owns my local bow shop, and we have had guys complain that even some of their compounds wont make certain ones light up. Its been a while since i have even thought about it, so I really cant give you examples of which ones. Its gonna depend partly on what you shoot, and how that particular knock works with your setup.

Lumenoks can be finnicky. If they are in the shaft too loose they may not work. If your arrow fits on your string too tightly the string can pull the nock out of the shaft just enough to break the circuit as the nock comes off the string upon release. What I do is remove my broadheads and shoot them several times with field points to make sure they are working well. I make sure that my nocks fit the string just tight enough so they do not fall off on their own. That is really what you have to do if you have any doubts about how they may work....shoot the arrows with field points first.

I used lumenoks last year. They worked great on targets and on deer till impact. I never had one stay lite after hitting the deer (3). This year I'm trying the magnet version. I bought some neo magnets and drill, imbedded them into my riser behind my velcro rest.  Of course I consulted my bow builder first, that would be me!  Works great so far but haven't got to field test on deer yet.

I don't care for lumenocks too much, the design is not the best.
However, I do like the carbon express lighted nocks. They seem alot more dependable.
You can also search the net for do it yourself lighted nocks.

I've heard/read that the Firenock series is inertia driven, no magnets or funny adjusting on the backside required, though I personally haven't tried them out.  Kind of spendy for an experiment, and I could definitely put the money toward more arrows..

I'll second the Carbon Express lighted nocks. Very dependable and not too hard to get the right fit.

I actually just went on cabelas site to order more thill lights to make up more 'home-brew' lighted nocks and was not happy to see the lights have gone up in price to more than half of what one luminock is retail.  guess I'm not making my own any more.  with the time it takes and having one or two out of a batch fail, its just not worth it.

does anyone know off hand how close the magent needs to be to the arrow for tracers?  I was wondering if it would be possible to rig a magnet up in my bow hand glove instead of sticking/gluing, etc it to the riser....

fire nocks are way too expensive for me.  heck for the price of TWO firenocks I could buy a whole dozen carbon shafts!  thought the technology is very intriguing.   I searched (albeit briefly) for a source of the inertia triggered leds but haven't found any yet.

hickstick, The tracers I have come on when the magnet gets about 3/4" away from the nock....Roy

Firenocks work well from my recurves and longbows. You also have color choices with replaceable parts.
