I am not sure I could shoot one of them, I can sit and look at one for hours in awe

I was just weighing this one thinking of shoot it this fall. It weighs in at 240 grs of knife river flint.

I was fortunate enough to met Woody Blackwell at a Texas Sweet hunt. And had the pleasure to watch him work a piece of stone into one of these, actually several. Kidding him before the hunt, I asked for a LH single bevel    :jumper:

So what does he show up with but single bevels, is there no limit to stone    :D

This one is not a single bevel, it matters not.

I guess I will just have to start making my own, that I do not covet as this one. To shoot

Wow. That thing looks like it was stamped out of a machine.  Excellent work.

His work is without a doubt the best I've ever seen.

Even if I had only one, it would ride against the strike plate of my bow every outing, until God gave me the opportunity to run it through a deer.

I got to watch him work, received one of his stone heads, and then spent the day chasing hogs with Mr. Blackwell.  Some special hunting memories.  He is the best - period.

Brent, Brent, Brent...  If you can't bring yourself to shoot that one, I've got one I just made today out of some plain-jane Texas chert.  It's a good working point -- sharp, strong, with good lines.  It's one of those with "dead deer" written all over it.

If you promise to hunt with it, PM me your addy and it'll be in the mail tomorrow.  Deal?    :wavey:

I watched Woody for hours in Fredrickburg, Texas this winter.  This guys an artist.  Take him up on that offer.

hunt it

Brent, here is Woody's single bevel wonder with little blood on it! Don't remember specifics of who shot what but perhaps you or Woody will remember. It sure was neat to see all the pieces of art that Woody created as the week passed by. As time passed the pile of chips on the porch got deeper and deeper. There is no end to the talent in those hands.
