You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

No truer words could be spoken about passing the torch. Excellent article! I just got my nephew into shooting bows and hopefully he will be bowhunting come October. I am really looking forward to experiencing some of those same feelings that Joe did.

Tip of the hat to ya Joe! enjoyed meeting you in person at Denton Hill, looking forward to sharing that campfire with you some day.

"Dad, I need to sit down I'm shaking to bad" my 12 year old son the first time he shot at a deer with his bow.

Joe, You're in all sorts of magazines.  I believe also in PBS on your Arizona Elk hunt.  Looks like another Hemingway on the rise.  Congrats...Doc

I hear ya, I was at the same shoot, middle of the back half, and there was Joe and his "entourage", they made us play thru because he was so busy talking with the media! What a great guy! Good times, good times!!    :readit:     :goldtooth:

Very cool Joe, congratulations!!! I see my copy must have shown up on Friday or Saturday when I was gone to a traditional shoot so I will be sure to give your article a read soon.
When are you heading out for your Unit 61 hunt? How long do you plan to stay?

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Nice work, Joe.  This site helps make our world a little smaller.   :)

Thanks again guys. When I was just a kid I always thought how cool it would be to write for outdoor magazines. Long way to go before I can consider myself a writer, but fun to try.

Dan, we'll be in 61 about the 26th. Will be staying at least through the 6th, and maybe as long as the 12th if need be. I'll touch base with you before we leave.
