Thank you for the honor you do us by telling us your family's story.  It's a shame to lose a good man, but an honor to know that in some small way we were a part of his life.

As you mourn him, smile when you can, cry when you need to and celebrate the time you had with him as your spirits permit.
Don't meddle in the affairs of dragons; people are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Deepest condolences from a fellow firefighter across the pond.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

When I posted this, I had no idea the response it would bring.  Your kind comments, prayers and best wishes are appreciated and cherished.  Jack lived life to the fullest, as those of you who knew him personally are aware.  The world was a better place -- and certainly a more interesting place -- because of him.  

Again, thank you all for this forum he enjoyed so much and God bless and keep each of you.
