I purchased a Flemish string on this site for my Kodiak Hunter 45#.  Put it on a couple of months ago and it won't stop stretching. I should have measured but it appears that the winding that makes the loops is getting shorter. Can this new string be pulling itself apart?

It's not likely, but it is possible.

Sam, is that the one I made for you? If it is, take it off. I'll make you another string.

Yes it is> Do you know what's going on? Just keeps stretching, but also seems that the ends are coming loose. I put back the old cont. loop string and that stays put.

Without seeing it, I couldn't say for sure. I'm not saying you did this, but they will possibly start to unravel if too many twists were taken out initially, to get the right brace height. Or, I just messed up. Either way Sam, there will be a new one on the way to you in a couple of days.

I can say for sure that I did not "untwist" This was an exercise in shortening the string to raise the brace height which I had a hard time getting to the 8" common height for a Kodiak Hunter and then it would stretch back down to 6.5. Even with fur silencers, it had quite a smack to it

It must be the second option then, and I can't apologize enough for this. I should have the replacement shipped out to you tomorrow.

Ssamac

No rush. I'm using the cont. loop it came with and it's doing ok. Don't worry about it.
