Fieldtesting my new Firefly and Black Widow

I have started this season with buying a new longbow and a recurve.
After much searching and wondering my decision was a Firefly longbow from Jim Jones with extra set of limbs and wow what a bowyer

I had a chance to buy a firefly in 2006 at our local state shoot and I let my uncle talk me out of it because the bows were unheard of    .  I hadn't been into trad for very long and I didn't know any better.  I did end up buying a very nice used Hummingbird from Sipsey River that year.  Don't get me wrong I love the Hummingbird and John is a great guy to deal with but I'll never be able to get a new Firefly for that price again    .  Having shot one I can say they are great bows.

Very nice. I cant speak for the fire fly but my PAS V is the smoothest bow i have ever drawn. My ASC/CX is a close second.

Every BW I see posted on here makes me want one more and more.

Nice to see someone else found out about Jim Jones and his great bows.  First class all the way.  Pretty bow you got there Margly!

I shoot both a Firefly LB and a BW 'curve.  They are both the same wt. at 31" draw.  I can shoot the same arrow set-up out of both.  I know the eye can mislead and I do not have a chrono, but I think they shoot very similar speeds and it would not surprise me if the FF actually shoots faster.

Nice bows ....I have not shot a FF but own several BW's and enjoy them all but especially my MA and PL V. Good shooting, you should be ready for the hunt.... regards, Ken
