For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Thanks fellers...I wish I could take pictures like Gil to do it justice.  My bow was made about 3 weeks before Gary's and it is amazing to see how much the Cocobolo changes to red from orange in that short amount of time.  I bought a whole board of Tulipwood like that in the limbs from Lefty Fred for the future!

I never name my bows, but I do name my boots.jackets, arrows ,knives hats, gloves & binoculars, but never bows

I think we are going to have to hunt with them before the right name sticks...how about "Ebb and Flow".

I've always dreamed of having a brace of English Setters.  Sisters.  I was going to call the "Jaq(ueline) and Jill...

My son and I are heading out the door to the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Jamboree.  I'll try to get some action shots.  Maybe some natural lighting will bring out the grain in the riser better.

Hi Steve;
Is that a picture of the "talltines" or" Silvertip" ? Seems to have 'tip contours and the long fadeouts like on the Silvertip , which really works the limb tips .Which ever it is, Beautiful bow!

Heart and Soul ..... very nice looking bow !

Sergio,

That photo is my TallTines.  I think it has a little look of Paul's Silvertips.  I have had a hard time saying it is "better" than my Silvertips, but after shooting it non-stop all weekend at the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Jamboreee; I do believe I have found "the one"

I wanted to get a shot of how the limbs load up, that may tell you guys that know what you are looking at an idea why it works so good:

Here are a few shots from this morning.  My photographer (10 year old son) bailed out on me to go on the blood trailing seminar MTB was having for the kids...

I am going to start another thread about this shoot, it is just wonderfull.  The big attraction is the hand painted 2D course.

Great shots Steve.  Hope you are able to make it to the club Thursday with that bow.  I had rug-rats with me and was heading someplace with them every time I spoted you at the shoot this weekend.

I did see Daniel at the blood trail with his purty JV Outback    .  My boys are still a little too rough on their gear to upgrade past fiberglass kids bows but the way Drew was working over the ballons at the kids shoot he'll be ready soon.

Here's my youngest, Zane.  He must have made the classic mistake and looked at the antlers.   :biglaugh:

Steve O

Mick,

I was surprised not to run into you...

I will have that bow with me until they put me 6' under   :D  .  I should be around Thursday.  I image you will want to be putting an order in to pick-up at Kalamazoo!

Migra Bill

I allways name my bows based on the town they were shipped to me from. Williamsport PA = Willie
Chester WV= Chester    Sandy Springs TX= Sandy  Sykesville, MD = Psycho    Helena, MT = Helen etc

Well, I finally got some pictures of "the twins"

Ol' Chimaster showing off our prizes...

Here they are strung:

Risers:

I love the Cocobolo...you can seen how mine is a little more red than Gary's.  The risers were shaped a few weeks apart.  That is amazing.  I wonder at what point they will catch up to each other?

Limbs:

I think we will be going with a Thunderhorn quiver similar to the one mounted on my bow for the pair.

Tim Fishell

Those are some sweet looking bows Steve!!  The grain in that Tulipwood is outstanding!!  Good luck with her this season.
