I saw Apex's post and wanted to throw my hat in the ring too. I just finished my first r/d one pc longbow too. There are several pics in the bowyers bench page but here are a couple for the pow wow page. I couldn't be more pleased with how it shoots. 61" ntn, 55#@28".

Beautiful bow !!! Well done...she should serve you real well.  Did you build your own mold and build her from scratch?  I'm envious of your talents..

That's real nice Jim!  I love the colors.  Sometimes a muted contrast looks better that a stark one.

Great looking bow,nice wood combo!

That design is a KennyM creation. I made the form from a template he designed. The riser wood is all wood from woodcraft. the glass, cores and veneers are also from Kenny.

I think if I could do it over I would have accented the padauk and riser belly overlays with black glass. I think it would have tied all the wood together better. There's always the next one!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

You will work out the issues.

I can find faults in any bow I pick up now that I am building them.  I have learned to keep my critical comments to myself though.  On my last hunt, where I invited other traditional archers, I inspected my buddies "high dollar" customs.  One had a pretty bad twist in the limb, and the other had waves down the back.  They don't like the bows any more! LOL  Nothing at all wrong other than they are not perfect, but you know what?  Neither are we!

When I run into problems like that, it forces me to change something in my process to rectify it.  You will work it out, because you do great work.

Practice makes perfect or at least close to. As Apex said we are not perfect, looks to me like your off to a great start. You have a eye to shape things and that's good, keep up the great work, and you learn from every bow you build.
May the spirit of archery always be with you,and keep you young at heart.  www.lostcreekbow-com.webs.com

Well thank you all for the kind words. I still really like this bow. I just shot two arrows about 4" apart from 35 yards in the dark with the target illuminated by drop light. It shoots better than I can. I will change some things on the next one.

I will definetly hunt with this bow! Kenny you have an awesome design with this bow. If I owned Martin or Bear I'd buy the rights to it! LOL! Its as good as anything they have in my oppinion.
