I removed the rug rest on my kodiak hunter wanting to try a elevated rest.It appears they used superglue to hold it down.I was wondering is there anything i can use to remove the glue and not hurt the finish of the bow?

freeman

Not that I know of. you'd probably have to sand it off. don't you love it when people do things like that...
get in touch with someone with some refinishing experience, they might have a tip or two.

ozy clint

try acetone. try on your finish 1st and if it is allright then give the glue a licking. i think acetone might work on CA glue??

Acetone will remove the glue, I don't know how it will react on the finish. I think I would try it though just make sure you keep it in the small area the glues in, thats an easy place to touch up if it mars the finish!

WD40 then clean with some soapy water like Dawn dish soap.

As with any solvent start "less agressive" and move to "more aggressive."  Charcol starter is on the less side and Acetone is on the more side with lots in between. Be careful with your old bows.
