Good evening I have a couple of vhs videos and a few books by wally  my questions are  did any one here ever go to see his shows  films how many films did he make ? web searches have little info that I dont already know .
Any imput from people here would be appreciated he was mostly fishing and shooting  but he seems to use a recurve a fair bit as well .

I know he was a showman and presenter  but he never seems to get a mention as a bowhunter on any sites  although in his films he was a bowhunter

Liquid Amber

Not much on old F. Wallace Taber.  He was Outdoor Editor of the Denver Post before he found a better way to make a living on the film lecture tour.

He shot on the University of California archery team in college, studying fish and game management and forestry and acquired one of Pope's original bows while in that neck of the woods.

He met and became friends and occasional hunting partners with Fred Bear.

He's greatest feat, mostly unknown to the general archery community was his taking a polar bear in 1957 near the Norwegian archipelago of Spitsbegen, I believe a few years before both Bear and Pearson.

I've acquired a small file of stuff on him over the years but stuff is scarce in archery circles.

Stone Knife

I went to several of his shows when I was a kid, there wasn't much for hunting shows on TV then, you had to go see Wally or go to the movies to see any hunting footage.

but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

I saw one of his shows when I was a kid in Weirton,WV
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
