When your Black Widow curve (MAII) is strung, can you see a gap between the riser and the limb?
On mine I see between 1/32 to 1/64 gap, with the larger at the end of the riser. Limb bolts are torqued down completely.
Just wondered is this normal?

mike snider

yes it is it is the rubber o-rings holding it up just little my widows are the same way

Thanks Mike, the rubber O rings are visible on yours

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Agreed, every Widow takedown I had was like this...Mike

OK guys thanks, I just had the bow redone by Widow and did not notice it before.

What I do in regards to the gap is smear lip balm between the limbs and riser. Seals things up some and acts as noise dampner.

Lip balm? who would a thunk it

Unscented lip balm, chap stick - I also put on my broadheads after sharpening to stop rust.  The stuff has many uses.

so something like bow string wax (beeswax) would do the same?
Actually the gap I see would require a good bit of wax to seal it up where it is the largest by the riser fad out end
Well you could not just smear it, you'd have to build it up a little
