I am looking to get some really sweet looking curly koa and just have not found a good connection yet. I don't need alot but I really need quality. 2" by 2" by 18" piece would do it.

thanks, Jim

I used to see a good bit of it on the bay.I don't know if it is dry or not.

It is hard to find it in riser dimensions.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I was looking around on the web trying to identify some wood on a bow and I seen a lot of sites that sell it to musical instrument makers and it looked really good. just google it and you should see some, if you don't try different words and such.

I can check with Martin & McArther, a local wood shop here in Honolulu if you'd like.

How long before you can shoot a bow or ride a bike if you put NAIR on your "Curly Koa"?

The is one person on the **** that sells piece large enough for risers and limbs and it is top notch...it's also top notch prices if you know what I mean.

You may also want to try and find some curly australian blackwood.  It is in the same family as koa and has a very similar look.  I don't really know where to get it but I have seen some guitars with it and it looks extremely similar to curly koa.  Good luck

Killdeer

Larry...I will remember, and you will pay.
And pay.
And pay!

Were you perhaps entertaining idle dreams of The Magic Bow once again gracing the embracing arms of your junkwood bow rack, sweetie?
