Looks good,I made my own alot also.I made mine to work off logy's tree mount.Put mount to tree, stand in mount put a ratched strap around the bottom your there.I laged the mount to the tree then you can alway go back and remount a stand if need to.I also used the small relastate signs for the bottom frame.I must have had 15 at one time I them for 15 years.A breeze to put up and down. And I could put a lockon the pipe that went thruogh the mount to hold the stand to the mount it was up under the seat .So it could'nt be gotten to.Most teives will leave home made stands alone.

Don, nice job! My question is the cable supports, what type of attachment, cable crimp or clamp as I don't have a crimper. Thanks and Good Shootin!

What kind of rod did you use? I prefer 7014

Come to me all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

Don Batten

frank, I used cable crimp sleeves. borrowed the crimper from a farmer around here. He uses it on his cow fences.

carbon arrow. 6012's but a mig would be much faster and neater.

Don,
Could you list the price and the materials you used to make those lock-ons?  How about a blue print?  I have a hunting budy who welds.

Man!!! where did this come from? I make these stands with a stick welder. Since them I got a small mig welder and that is really the sh////t for this kind of work. In fact , all the stands in the pic have been modified to hang like the chippiwaw wedge lock stands. I just made some wedges out of flatbar stock and welded it to the up rights, then cut the top bars off and made the chains out of 3/16" cable and chain and cut up some boat trailer rollers on my band saw. It's a slick way to hang the stands. Just go up and put the chain rig on and then hawl the stand up and slide the wedge over the cable. You can search wedgelock stands to get the idea. I got about 31 dollars a pc in them not counting my time.

Joey , send me your wants and I get it done for ya. gonna cost ya in the long run.lol Don

What are you using as steps.

The stands are GREAT but, hard to use if you can not reach them.LOL

Many options. Love the wedge attachment system.
