Joe, you might have already mentioned this but are the limbs the same?  So can I take the limbs from my LX and put them on a CLX riser?  Also could you still put the recurve and longbow limbs on the same riser and make is a CLXR?  Thanks in advance.

Tim, the limbs of a CLX are the same limbs as the LX.  However, since RER's are made by hand and not CNC machined, the limbs are not necessarily interchangable between risers.  In other words, the limbs are made to fit the riser.

A new set of limbs can be made to fit a specific riser.  Making a new riser to fit an existing set of limbs can also be done, but we really don't have them priced out that way at this point.  If you seriously would like to look into the possibility give me a call.

The bow pictured here is just the second one out of the shop for the new series.  I just listed it in the sponsor classifieds this morning.

There is one other one in stock right now that is the first prototype.  I think that one is a 58", and approx. 48# @ 28"

The "C" series sure seems to have generated some interest, so will likely see more of them coming out for the in stock inventory and to take to shows this summer.

O great, I'm going to the TBOF shoot in Fla. and had my mind all most made up on what I thoght I wanted from RER and now this, more choices. I think you guys do this on purpose..LOL. Such hardships.

That's awesome!  I remember Kevin telling me he was working out the kinks on the shorter riser, looks like he's got it solved.

Hey Kip, how's my cajun buddy doing?  Good to hear from ya!
From the arrow shelf to the top of the sight window measures 2 3/4".  The Compact riser is 13", versus 15" for the XR and LX riser.

bentpole, the shortest CLX is 58", and should be good with draws out to 28".  I was shooting that 56" CXR last night with my 29" draw and it's smooth as silk all the way back.

Mitch - better get that deposit in before he jumps in line in front of you!  :D

Now he needs to Shorten the limbs up so he can get down to 56" and it would be the bow of my dreams!! LOL

I like the lighter bulk of the shorter riser TD bows.  Kind of the best of both worlds to me--more stability from the heavier riser compared to a one-piece longbow yet not so heavy that I get tired out carrying it all day.  I also like shorter bows for hunting and this also allows for that shorter overall length.

Great job, Kevin, I like this new RER.  Even so, I'm not ready to trade off my Vortex quite yet.

I got an email from Kevin saying my exisitng LXR limbs would have an increase of draw weight by 3#s if I had a C riser made for them.

My current set up is 62" 49# @28" longbow and 60" 48# @28" recurve limbs.
