SERGIO VENNERI

Joe.....in the first pic of the bows hanging horizontal, what are the woods in the 4th bow from the top....looks like Osage and something else.....can I get a closeup?

Thanks, Billy

Just took a RER in trade and I'm impressed with it. Bow was built in 2004 and shoots great. Now I can't wait to see the new ones up close too.  Glad I get to go to K-ZOO.

Billy, I don't have that bow here and I don't see it on the in stock list, so might either be a customers custom order or a personal bow.  I tried to zoom my picture but lost detail.  I'll have to check with Kevin and see what it is made of.

Joe,
Thanks for the reply. I emailed Kevin about the bow in question.

Not only is Kevin a great bow craftsman. Look at the first pic and the log home, pretty good story behind that and another testimony to his ability as a craftsman.

Whip

You're sure right about the story behind the home.  This was not a case of picking out a plan and hiring a contractor.  All logs cut from family land, draw knife and sanded themselves.  The work they put into that home is amazing, and like you say, says volumes about the craftsmanship that shines through everything Kevin touches.

It might not be quite the size of a Cabela's Frank, but it sure has better stuff inside!  ;)

Brent, actually I have three lefties that are going to be making the trip.  An XR, an LS, and a standard recurve.  15% of the total - you guys are well represented!    ;)

vtmtnman, I think that is the second one from the right of the ones laying on the pool table waiting to be wrapped up.  Should I get it boxed up?    ;)
Opps,I meant third pic....Looks like a Bear TD with the carbon fiber limbs.

Boxed up....yeah I wish....10 bucks a month for the rest of my life sound ok...    :readit:     :(      :banghead:

Awesome bows, I want a Arroyo 58"s and around 51-53#s at 28. I own three now, but want another. Shawn

vtmtnman, those are limbs for a Bear takedown on a metal riser.  Kevin builds replacement #2 limbs for the Bear takedowns.  That set has a Cocobolo wedge with red elm cores.

Boom Stick

I wrote Kevin to tell him I wouldn't be buying another bow from him.

That I love my LX so much,  I don't think I'll ever want another bow!

KYArcher

Those RER's are awsome bows, real beauties! Got a Vortex in a trade a while back, and what a fine bow. Took my last doe of the season with it last Sun. eve, first time I took it to the woods!

i shot shauns arroyo, and his xr t/d yesterday. all i can say is WOW. i will be callin ya whip. i would like to see about an in-stock bow.
does rer offer a grey actionwood? i have always been partial to the "plain jane" type look of the grey.
i'll say one thing, i've never shot a faster bow than those yesterday. and the 54" arroyo w/ those static tips is as smooth as butter...
