My business is online tutoring. We have the best tutors, for the best prices, and the best customer service out there. Our organization is flat and low cost. We never had to change a thing and believe me we're busy enough. A superior product at a lower price is a good strategy for us!

My answer is do things more cost effective, optimize my resources, set the heat lower in my shop and put on a coat and hat (I'm the only one out there working so I don't have to hear employees whine about the cold.) I'll use more hand tools and less power tools. Open some doors and turn off some lights, or even work outside.

You sound like my current boss and the guy I use to be in business with. When things get bad you just figure out a better/smarter way of getting the job done. No whining allowed.
