I bought all the lumber from Wholesale Log Homes - down south, I think S.Carolina? Not sure.  They are on the internet.  You buy by the lineal foot, choose your dimensions and grooved or not etc and they send a variety of lengths.  I figured out cost and with drop shipping (expensive) it was still far less for the siding to get the boards from them than Menards, Lowes etc.  The ship lap fit perfect - this was great lumber with very little waste - I would recommend this outfit highly.  I've never had lumber of this quality and my buddy that built a log home or 2 was impressed as well.  Don't get tounge-and-groove for inside siding - harder to fit up than ship lap for the big 16 footers!  Also the air powered finish nailers are worth thier weight in gold for this work.  The only thing I would do different is to buy the big logs kiln dried. For us "easterners" with humidity above 40% on average the non-dried logs are fine and we are not getting any more checking in the wood than the kiln dried logs usually have but they are VERY heavy wet.  16 footers in the 6X12 were all three of us stout guys could handle.  I would have never gotten the top 3-4 rows stacked without my Kubota and hay forks on the bucket.  I finished the inside with water based poly satin and I'm very happy with it.

TR - no big plans - just going to get serious about the whitetails (finally!) 3-4 states next year.

waiting4fall,
Thanks for posting your mancave video.  I did enjoy it since it is obvious you love what you are doing and love being in your mancave.  Refreshing to see someone as enthused as you are about your hobby.  Keep it up.
