Geez David, don't be embarrassed. We've all been there! I LIKE the original rooms :-)

I did the same as Bryce. Plywood behind the sheetrockmand white walls for contrast. I also added the double french door that opens to the outside should I ever be as good (or as lucky) as Ray and have a big elk to bring in. Be sure and shade your windows well! I'm sure all the taxidermists on here will tell you that sunlight is hard on your mounts.

They are even bigger and more beautiful than the pics allow. And, watching Ray's eyes as he relives and tells the story; PRICELESS.

Here's a couple of our living room...added on a couple years back, two buddies and myself spent every weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day on this. I have some good friends!  6X12 eastern white pine sidewalls, 1X12 ship lap pine siding above.  Bunch of work, but well worth it!

Goes without saying all animals are trad bow kills.  The only things not finished are the muskox base and my '08 whitetails - the one on the left is a 150 inch 5X5 from Iowa and the one on the right is a 140 inch 5X5 with some burr points from Indiana.

Pulled the horse trailer out to Iowa to bring him back in.  Don't know if anyone took a peek in the trailer on the way back...if so I wonder what went thru their minds to see that critter standing in there?!

Ryan, fantastic room and mounts. Your dad did a great job on the Javelina and Muskox. Congrats on the 08 buck. A 140" buck in Indiana is a major accomplishment! Tell your lovely wife I said hello!  What's next Ryan?

All I can say is wow to some of you guys. Very cool rooms indeed. I've only been hunting two years now and have only a piece of doe hide and a squirrel hide. Great stuff!

Amazing rooms guys!!!!     i`m in the middle of a addition.... trophy room - living room, an hope to post some pics if i can figure out how.,...I hope you don`t mind if i steal some ideas:) One things for sure i don`t have any of those big whitetails yet,,, still waiting
