I spent a good part of my afternoon shooting with two high school girls, Kayla and Katie. they were a blast. a friend of mine owns an archery shop (with an indoor range) and called me yesterday and ask if I would stop by and help a customer with his daughter that was wanting a traditional bow. I gathered up the lightest bows I had and even tossed in my sons lefthand Grizzly. good thing, one of these young ladies (Katie) was a lefty. these girls were really, really having a good time shooting. we were in a shop full of compound bows, even some pink ones, and these girls did not even look at the first one. all they wanted to do was talk and shoot traditional. Kayla's dad is now in the market for a really light weight bow, all mine were a wee bit too heavy. maybe a right and a left. I gave them this website and hopefully they'll be joining us soon.

Sounds like the young ladies knew what they wanted. Good on you for helping them out.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Those gals are lucky to have you in the neighborhood. Almost as lucky as we are to hear of two more fine folk flinging arras the old fashioned way. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Good on you Danny. Hope the arm healed up fine and you had a great season. Thanks for passing the torch.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Danny, did you sign them up to the club yet?  Also, congrats on being elected club President.

thanks for the compliments ya'll but, the pleasure was all mine. my kids use to shoot with me but they've seemed to out grow it 'FOR NOW' I hope. shooting with these girls was a blast. Kayla's dad even shot my Vortex some and I could see the gleam in his eyes. I'm sure we'll see a lot of that crew at our shoots.

now for the arm. it's all better now with a BIG scar as a reminder to just how fast things can turn bad.

Danny
