Got a new(my first) silver tip.(pics added)

Picked up a silvertip longbow. 3 pc 62" 61@ 28. Built by Dave  early this year. Fast flight , snake skin limbs, nice looking bow. Ive only had it 2 days and I'm gettin really attached to this bow. My longtime huttin buddy who I bought it from has 5 schafers and I always thought I would like to own one . I guess now I do. This is gonna be my go to pig bow this year. It seems to like Grizzly stiks with 200 gn razorcaps. 675gn at 61 lbs. They sure are hard to pull out of the target. don

Congrats on your new bow, how about some pics. Have you handled a Schafer recurve? Just curious how the grip on the longbow compares.

Black dog, yes, he has two recurves that I have shot some. The grips are very similar. The longbow riser is shorter. All the ones Ive shot have the checkerd grips , which I quiet like.

Vemonster, I'll try to get some pics up soon. With house building being very slow , I don't get to my office(where i can post pics) very much during the week. The up side is that my boss has a nephew comming in from Reno tonight and he told me he wanted me to take him hunting for the five days that he will be here. Well I guess we do what we can to make ends meet. LOL Don

Congrats on the Schafer longbow.
I just bought 2 Schafer recurves and shot them last night. What a joy. I ended up with one of mine because the guy was buying a longbow instead.

That dark grey Dymond wood in the riser works well with those snake skins- nice looking Silvertip.

thanks guys. John , sorry about the rubberbands again. I use them for arm gaurd if I have a loose coat on. You notice I got the 5 arrow on her now? DB
