A huge Sika buck coming to a feeder in Dorchester County, MD.  No one saw this monster the week of gun season but he was at the feeder during the season.  This is about as big a Sika as I have ever seen.

I'm the guest so I only got to hunt the area he was in for one evening, the rest of the time spent in the big marsh about a mile away.

Not where I live (middle of the state, Carroll County) but on the eastern shore in the swampy marshlands of Dorchester, Wicomico counties they seem to thrive.  Both Whitetail and Sika live there but the Sika outnumber the whitetail tremendously in those areas.  They normally are nocturnal, especially during gun season.

This is just a photo of an unusually large buck roaming the area.

Sika's are very cool creatures. Notice the mud up to his belly. They love the marsh! Better have some good hip waders if your going to go after them.

Practice like you are the worst, shoot like you are the best...
