I need, asap, to assemble a list of any/all states and provinces that prohibit mechanical broadheads for big game. Please help? Thanks! dave

Dave--Washington State is one. Page 67   provides the details.   http://wdfw.wa.gov/wlm/game/hunter/huntregs2008.pdf
Idaho as well. Page 65

They're alright for Illinois, Kentucky, and I believe Louisiana.  (Guys I know from there are in love with the new "Rage" broadheads...thats what they used up here this year.)

I would think you could call a major manufacturer and they could tell you.  Or call Cabelas or some other large store.

T.Downing is correct Washington state for sure. No Mechanical broadhead of any kind.bd

I know of several outfitters who will not allow them on their leases. PM me if you want their names.

Soilarch calling the manufactures does not always work as they normaly will say to check your local regs.but I would also like to mention not legal to use in Washington but they do sell them at several stores includeing Cabelas.bd

Illegal in Alaska for moose, elk, brown/grizzly bear, bison, muskox, and mountain goats.

Legal for smaller big-game including deer, sheep, black bear, caribou.

Sorry Early....no they are not.  Sorry, I just got here.....been busy.  You need to put some more dirt on that hatchet.

Dave, we haven't allowed mechanical head threads since day one of any form or fashion....so to be fair, I've got to lock this one as well.
