I have been looking at the Martin Bamboo Viper longbow. Has anybody here shot one?

Rooselk

Have you done a search? I know there's been discussion about that bow here in the past. I have a Savannah but haven't shot the bamboo Viper as of yet.

A great shooting bow but not the prettiest bow in the world.I sold mine to my cousin as his 1st bow otherwise Id have kept it.I got mine as a demo so I didnt pay retail which is a little steep.

I had one and I thought it was a great shooter, fast and smooth.I had too many bows sold it,I liked the grip on my Savannah a tad better. The Bamboo Viper is a good solid bow,I would get another one.Kinda wish I didn't sell the one I had but would get alittle more weight for myself.

I have one...I think it's a pretty sweet bow the only thing I notice is that it's kind of loud...but I haven't really tried all that hard to quiet it down...

I smoked my first buck with a longbow with it last year...

i've owned a viper for about two years with no complaints.  it is a very solid bow capable of  very good accuracy.  i shopped around and was able to find one for under 500.00 new.

String Cutter

I laid my hands on one at a store and gave it a look over. Looked pretty well made. But for the money I would go with a used custom or Check out Mohawk bows. He's a sponsor here...

Thanks for the replies, my 56 lbs widow recurve is a little to much weight and have been looking at hybrid longbows in the Vipers price range.

I should add that I got mine for a SMOKING deal...if I had to pay what retail is on it I would have bought a custom...I think there are quite a few in that price range...

Cool Arrow

I like mine. Yep it's definitely a production bow, but it shoots every bit as nice as the custom bows I've owned.
