Deer were really moving this morning. Saw a small six point 15 yards, two button bucks, three does. From 0720 until 0900 I was seeing deer. Lots of acorns,persimmons and pears. Even seen a fresh scrape thats all torn up. The six point made a visit. Was a good day to take off work. I will be back at it tomorrow morn.

I'm headed for JC and Miss. Kim's place for the St. Jude's hunt I was the high bidder on, but after that I will head back home and try for a Western Oklahoma buck that will make P&Y. Got to find one first! There is one on the trail cam that would make it, but that big boy is only showing up at night.

missed a doe last night.  just under her belly.  knocked off some white hair.

I saw 7 this morning, 5 were bucks. One was a nice main frame 8 point...looked like he was 2.5 years old. I watched him chase a doe and her yearling along with two other forkies for about 10 min....never got a shot. I've never seen bucks chase in the first week of season but i must confess i dont mind it at all. Anybody else seein' this behavior from bucks?
