So what was it?  What was THE best deal you ever got at a yard sale for an archery related item?

I got mine Saturday...

An Apple Archery Products arrow cutoff saw for $10!

I figured they weren't very cheap and thought ten bucks was a good "yard sale" price.  When I got home and looked it up in Google, I found theys sell for $299.99!!!  Yikes!

The thing is like brand new and runs great.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

This must be the week for saws . I picked up an older Easton arrow saw. Fifteen bucks. Mine runs great too.

Those are some great deals.  I guess all the archers/bowhunters in my neck of the woods hang on to their stuff.  I have never found anything worth a flip but that doesn't stop me from looking!

My dad made purchase but it was good for me. He bought a 48# Bear BearCat for either $5 or $10 when I was young. He never used it but I sure did.

Box of 50 unused Bear Razorheads for $40.00. Browning recurve for $20.00. Bear Kodiak Hunter for $10.00, with some arrows. The Bear is kinda beat, but it's a rare one, and may get a trip to Bowdoc, if no one wants it as is.

Not a yard sale, but I picked up these three bows & a Bear 76er at a junk shop for less than $100.

Not exactly a 'yard sale' purchase; I bought my Black Widow HF for $20.00 from a co-worker.

I didnt buy em, but I have em now. My dad bought some bows for 15$. An AMF Hawk, BP Woodsman hunter, A Shakespeare x-18 all 45@28". He also got another 58" Shakespeare 40#@28 with a nice silver medallion inlaid. My brother stole that. Nice bows for the price. I plan on hunting each one once I learn how to shoot.   :D

When the compound craze hit, i bought many recurves at pawn swhops for under $10.  Couple of real nice Bears and a Shakespeare.  Last year I got a Browning Cobra for $10 at a yard sale.

I bought a recurve in an antique store about 15 years ago for $5.00.  It had about 1/8 " on dust on it and the only thing I could tell was that it was a bow.

Got it home an cleaned it up.  A mint Browning Cobra
(50# @ 28")...no dings or scratches.  The rest looked like maybe 2 dozen arrows had been shot out of it.

Real happy with that deal.

I look I stop and I stop and shop some more, still no real goodies except one. I seen it and one and only one person came to mind. I thought it was worthy of her, our own Shell.

Oh, I forgot, I also got a mint Herters recurve a year or two ago that looks like it was never shot.  Forget what the weight was because I've never shot it either....  It's laying in the basement with a bunch of others.  Think I paid 40 bucks.
