Just got out of my New York Hunter Safety Course and the Department of Environmental Conservation says that there are no mountain lions in NY, so there are no mountain lions in NY.  :rolleyes:

Dry creek,I thought rabbit also.the lower legs says rabbit,fox or yote.It's hard to tell how tall it is with no reference point.

I wouldn't want to bet if it's a deer or a coyote.What I would do is print out the picture,go back there and put a stick in the ground exactly where it stood.You should be able to calculate height by that.I believe a coyote would be about 16" tall.Even this year's fawns will be considerably taller than that.

I'll say bobcat cause I like to be different.   :)   If you look real close at the head end you can see a cat head reflection at the base of the big tree.  look close.

well looks like deer is the group answer. not sure but i sure  learned a bunch about critters i had never heard of before! i'll have to check the N.Y. reg's on capybara and Reeves's Muntjac season and limits!  :scared:    :knothead:
